What are some other good destinations aside from Rome

One-day trips or longer stays

Rome is a large hub for other destinations, so the possibilities are endless. Visiting cities in Italy, like Venice, Pisa, Milan, and Genoa are convenient by either train or plane. If you are looking to go outside of Rome then flying to other countries is not a problem. Rome has a large international airport as well as a smaller airport with hundreds of flights each day going all over the world.

If you are looking for close and inexpensive day trips from Rome then you should consider going to Calcata, Sermoneta, Ostia Antica, Tivoli, and Villa d’Este. Longer and slightly more expensive destinations to see are Florence, Amalfi Coast, Naples, Sorrento, etc.
